Independent Professional Advocacy (IPA)

Helping people to take an active role in shaping their future

Advocacy Matters (Wales) provides an Independent Professional Advocacy (IPA) service across Cardiff and the Vale of Glamorgan, for adults (18+) with a learning disability and/or autism.

This is a free service and anyone can make a referral.

We can help people think about how things are going for them, focussing on the support they have or might need.

As a person receiving advocacy support, you will have your own Independent Advocate. They will take the time to listen to you, understand your point of view, support you to make informed choices and help you to reach your personal goals.

Making a referral is easy!
Download a referral form, complete as much information as you can,

and send to: info@advocacymatterswales.co.uk
We’ll then get back in touch to discuss next steps.

If you prefer, we can take a referral over the phone:
please contact Monica on
07886 365 999

If you experience any problems completing the form, please do get in touch and we’ll make sure you get the help you need.
