What we do

Advocacy Matters (Wales) employs Casework Advocates. They are paid to provide advocacy support for people with learning disability, on issues that are important to the person.

Our Citizen Advocacy Co-ordinator also recruits Citizen Advocates. They are volunteers who are not paid. They are introduced to a person with a learning disability, and are there to help the person to speak up for themselves in any situation.

We also employ Taking Part Workers. Their job is to help people to have a say about the services they receive.

Advocacy Matters (Wales) has a Service User Group. This is a group of people who have used our services and who now meet regularly to help the organisation improve and discuss ideas for how the organisation can develop.
