Investors in People
In December 2005 Advocacy Matters (Wales) achieved status of Investor in People organisation.
The assessment report wrote that Advocacy Matters (Wales) strengths and areas of good practice included:
- A strong business planning process involving employees in the development of the plan with clear objectives, which everyone is focussed on achieving.
- The overall commitment to training and development, which is detailed in the organisational Training Plan and the allocation of an individual training budget, which provides scope for individual development, together with training given to volunteers.
Advocacy Matters (Wales) is now working toward the new standards in preparation for our review assessment in December 2008.
Advocacy Matters (Wales) sucessfully completed the review in July 2008 and the Assessor made positive comments:
- The Business Plan is clear and concise containing a clear view of the future as defined in the Business Plan and a measured, realistic approach to reaching organisational objectives.
- There is an exicting new system for monitoring the outcomes of the advocacy support provided to users which has begun to focus on tangible outcomes.
