Hello and welcome!

We are a south Wales based charity who help adults with a learning disability have a say. Advocacy Matters (Wales) exists to promote the independent voice and protect the rights and choices of individuals with a disability.

This means people should be:

  • Treated with respect, recognition and as unique individuals
  • Have choice and a right to confidentiality and independence
  • Empowered to work in partnership with professionals and be involved in decisions which affect their lives
  • Are able to take advantage of equal opportunities

A truly rewarding experience

Everyday we support people with a learning disability to live their lives with freedom and dignity. There are ways you can help too. Develop your communication skills and volunteer as a Citizen Advocate. Or donate to our organisation. Advocacy Matters (Wales) would not exist without your generous support and it helps make a real and lasting difference to people with a learning disability.
