Investors in People

In December 2005 Advocacy Matters (Wales) achieved the status of an 'Investor in People' organisation.

The assessment report wrote that Advocacy Matters (Wales) strengths and areas of good practice included:

  • A strong business planning process involving employees in the development of the plan  with clear objectives, which everyone is focussed on achieving.
  • The overall commitment to training and development, which is detailed in the organisational Training Plan and the allocation of an individual training budget, which provides scope for individual development, together with training given to volunteers.

Advocacy Matters (Wales) sucessfully completed the review assessment in July 2008 and the Assessor made the following positive comments:

  • The Business Plan is clear and concise containing a clear view of the future as defined in the Business Plan and a measured, realistic approach to reaching organisational objectives.
  • There is an exicting new system for monitoring the outcomes of the advocacy support provided to users which has begun to focus on tangible outcomes.

Advocacy Matters (Wales) sucessfully completed the review assessment again in July 2011 and continues to enjoy its status as an 'Investor in People' organisation.
